Perdu au cœur du cirque de Salazie, le Trou de Fer fait partie de ces lieux qui imposent le silence : une immense gorge enveloppée de brume, où des cascades vertigineuses se mêlent à une végétation luxuriante.
Un paysage presque irréel, façonné par l’eau et le temps, qui rappelle toute la puissance et la poésie de l’île. Qu’on l’admire depuis le sentier ou du belvédère, on y ressent toujours la même émotion : celle de La Réunion dans ce qu’elle a de plus sauvage et grandiose.
